Direct से Indirect बनाने नियम:-
1. यदि किसी वाक्य की Reported verb में said to दिया है तो उसे proposed, requested, adviced, ordered में बदल देते हैं।
2. Comma तथा Inverted comma को हटा देत हैं।
3. comma को हटाकर 'To' का प्रयोग करते हैं।
Examples:-
1. Direct : The judge said to witness,"Tell the truth."
Indirect : The judge ordered witness to tell the truth.
2. Direct : The teacher said to us,"Stand up."
Indirect : The teacher ordered us to stand up.
3. Direct : The owner said to the servant,"Do this work."
Indirect : The owner ordered to servant to do that work.
4. Direct : Principal said,"Sit down,boys."
Indirect : Principal ordered the boys to sit down.
5. Direct : Captain said to soldiers,"Fire."
Indirect : Captain ordered soldiers to fire.
6. Direct : Boy said to father," Give me 100 rupees."
Indirect : The boy asked father to give him 100 rupees.
7. Direct : The old man said to me," Please help orphans."
Indirect : The old man requested to help orphans.
8. Direct : I said to him,"Please don't disturb me."
Indirect : I requested him not to disturb me.
9. Direct : Teacher said to me,"Be honest."
Indirect : Teacher advised me to be honest.
10. Direct : My mother said to us,"Always speak the truth."
Indirect : My mother advised us to speak the truth always.
